The Plan for New Facilities

The Long Range Planning Committee realized that we must have a Church and a FamilyLifeCenter together for parish life to thrive.  Despite our desire to retain our current parishes, the inadequacies of the locations of St Anne Parish on Liberty Street and St Jude on Oakland Street are apparent.  There is no adequate room for future growth of either parish.  The one hundred ninety-five acres we have purchased outright at Beckwood Road off Highway 521 will allow for the growth of our family far into the future.  Our architects have designed a preliminary master plan of parish development, with extensive input from the parishes leadership, that will be started in two phases.

NEW CHURCH

As a result of the unification of our individual parishes, the new parish will soon serve over 900 families, as our number of registered parishioners increases monthly.  We need a larger worship space which will provide the spiritual home for us to celebrate the Eucharist and the sacramental life of our Faith.  The architectural planning committee has developed a plan for a church that will seat 800, with the ability to expand easily.  The church will include stained glass windows from St Anne, and other elements from both parishes that have iconic or historical worth.

FAMILY LIFE CENTER

This multipurpose building will provide ample space for religious education for our youth, adult education and spiritual development programs, nursery facilities and room for community functions. Also there will be a Parish Hall for school and parish productions, which will double as a gymnasium for school and CYO athletic events.  The facility will be welcoming, comfortable, and suitable for funeral luncheons and other social events.  The building will also house many of our parish offices including Pastor, Deacons, Secretaries, Business manager and other staff.

SITE DEVELOPMENT

The infrastructure, such as various roads, parking areas, water, power & sewer lines are all necessary planning for future growth and construction on the property.

ST ANNE SCHOOL

The school, built in 1957, does not have the room necessary for our student body, nor is it suitable for the technology needed in today’s education process.  The environment in which we educate our children, both academically and spiritually, must be improved. 

RECTORY

Currently, our priests reside at the St Jude Parish Rectory.  The residence is adequate for the time being. In Phase II it is our intention to build a proper rectory on the new property, close to all the new facilities.
