Women's Guild
The Catholic Community of Sumter, S.C. Women's Guild meets monthly (usually the 2nd Sunday of the month, excepting the Summer months) for fun, fellowship, and lunch. Meetings usually follow the 11:30 Sunday Mass. The Site alternates between the St. Anne and the St. Jude campuses. Guest speakers are often invited to talk to the group.
One of the Women's Guild's primary gifts to our community is providing meals for various receptions, including First Holy Communion, Confirmation, Easter Vigil (RCIA), and Funerals. Other activities include the annual "Coat Give-Away" in which coats, sweaters, blankets, socks, etc. are given to the needy in our community. Financial support is also given to a variety of parish and community organizations including, but not limited to: One Faith - One Family, St. Anne School, Saint Francis Xavier High School, The Fireside Fund, Christian Charities, etc.
To support our activities, various fundraisers are conducted over the course of the year including a Bake Sale the weekend before Thanksgiving and the Annual "Yard" Sale conducted in January.
Membership dues are $5, annually, which covers the traditional school year (August - May).
